Shaping Belkin's Sustainability Story – North and Yolktv

North and Studio Yolk collaborated to design a unique identity for Belkin’s new sustainability initiative, Everyday Impact. This partnership brought Belkin’s core values to life through animations, relatable illustrations, and a distinctive visual style that emphasized environmental and social responsibility.

Belkin International Inc., a renowned consumer electronics company launched Everyday Impact to address climate change by minimizing its environmental footprint and fostering social good. “At Belkin, sustainability is at the heart of everything we do, from community work and education to products and our supply chain,” Belkin states. North and Studio Yolk set out to create a sub-brand that would convey this commitment authentically, embracing Belkin’s deeply held values. “It’s not just about greenwashing—it’s a deeply held belief that guides every decision they make, day in and day out,” states Mike Bond, Creative Director at North. Everyday Impact represents the company's long-term pledge to make meaningful contributions to both the community and the planet.

A Commitment to People, Planet, and Products

Under the direction of lead designer Richard Myburgh, North and Studio Yolk developed a brand identity that aligns seamlessly with Belkin’s primary visual style. “The goal was to create a sub-brand that could stand on its own while still feeling like part of the Belkin family,” Mike explained. They retained Belkin's signature typeface, Suisse Intl, and introduced a softer green palette to give Everyday Impact a positive and human touch. The visual identity also features the Everyday Impact Bird Mascot, which its purpose as stated by Mike Bond - Creative Director at North "is to connect with people emotionally, tapping into feelings of nostalgia, humour, and empathy and also serve as a visual reminder of our shared responsibility to care for each other and the planet." Collaborating with Studio Yolk, they developed illustrations and a long-format film that convey Belkin’s eight sustainability pillars in an engaging and relatable manner, inspiring collective action on climate change.
